Designed with the strict and precise line of two architects, the numerous pieces of furniture, bedside tables or stepladders, made by La Maison de Charrier, simply punctuate the refined work of Sara and Jean-Luc. With this same sobriety in color, architecture and decoration thus come together to write universes of hotels or houses.

"Our bathroom spaces favor elegance and singularity. They are resolutely enveloped by architecture, refined by custom-made products and cared for like beauty salons." An alcove is a godsend for a double washbasin in rough stone and old woodwork adapted over the entire width of a wall reveals the bathroom like a portrait.

"We imagined this child's room in reference to Saint Exupéry's The Little Prince".
Against a backdrop of woodwork, cherubs, planes in the stars and a cabin bed by Mathilde Labrouche, it is a kingdom of tenderness and poetry inhabited like a happy planet by children's dreams.

Sara and Jean-Luc are keen to tell the story of the rooms with an air of intimacy, like refuges for cabin beds of which they have the secret. Each will have its spirit... Monastic with two large four-poster convent beds and linen drapes, country palace style with an 18th century Italian inspired screen, almost religious under the roof of a chapel bed designed with four 18th century columns.

Having fun with the geometry of lines, materials and colours... on all the tones of projects, surprising the eye is almost a must. Here, a bathroom cabinet cuts its silhouette on a play of stone and patinated oak. Here again, a flowerbed unrolls a dark carpet of hexagons on a thousand and one light shades of terracotta tiles.

"The detail is just as essential". As with a goldsmith's work, it is a question of emphasizing the decor with precise choices and equipment that is both judicious and aesthetic. Additional taps or a fryer integrated into a Molteni stove, pendant lights specially found for a place, or a custom-made wine cellar made from old oak barrels... The little extras make the difference.

"Enter our universe...". With a certain theatricality, an old headboard with gold leaf was reupholstered with an old gold boutis and a bed enthroned under the roof was imagined from two columns of patinated wood and 19th century wallpaper. The idea? To enhance the pieces of the past with a modern interpretat.

The only line of conduct is to sculpt materials through the purity of graphics and the light of white ... Stone slabs in disparate formats at the foot of a tadelakt staircase, a marriage of woodwork and old hemp as a wall covering, a contemporary interpretation of a coffered ceiling and the sublime irregularity of a custom-made white terracotta floor. Four examples of a style exercise.
